What started as an inside joke turned out to be an amazing project. The first wine in a can made in Valle De Guadalupe is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, super fresh and thanks to the gas stored in the can it gives a hint of sparkling wine.

The name does not come from the animal per se. In México there are many silver mines and silver jewelry is popular. But also because of this there’s fake silver (also called Alpaca) which is an amalgamation similar to silver that leaves a green mark on your skin over time hence the color of the label.

Vinos Plata having silver themed wine labels thought of having a fun wine, something accesible to everyone and that’s were Alpaca came in, the counterpart to his premium line of wines.

This wraparound label has a vibrant design for a spring-summer wine. The textures are a little grungy inspired by the alpaca animal and the colors came from the wine itself and from the alpaca metal’s oxidation. I believe the combination of the two help convey the vibe the client was looking for. A delicious easy to drink beverage in a cool accesible package.
