On November 02, a man identified as Akhil Kumar Chandak from Rajasthan raised a serious allegations of forced religious conversation involving his circumcision (Khatna) in Assam’s Guwahati.

Chandak alleged that he was forcibly circumcised after being allegedly intoxicated near the Bhangagarh TV Tower Area. This was carried against his will.

Following the incident, Chandak approached the Bhangagarh Police Station and lodged a formal complaint, seeking appropriate action.

As part of the investigation, a medical examination was conducted at the Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) wherein it was verified and confirmed that Chandak had undergone circumcision.

Bhangagarh Police have registered a case based on the complaint and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident.

In 2020, Chandak married a Muslim girl from Assam’s Mankachar. They reportedly have a six-year-old daughter.
