Winning is cool, but making memories is far more valuable. I won my first national show two years ago today, and the moment my name got called, all I could think about was how returning home with the trophy would make my grandma feel, since her precious time on earth was limited at that point. It was never about a trophy, but on a much deeper level, more about making those around you proud. This prep has been more challenging than recent ones in finding my "why" between shows and partially that may be because of her absence. Titles don't mean close to anything when you don't have loved ones to share those victories with. Seeing these pictures this morning in my gallery reminded me of why I've never stopped continuously moving forward. Cherish your loved ones and keep pushing. Much love - #bodybuilding #familyfirst

Teacher. Writer. Leader. Visionary. Preacher. Encourager. Dreamer. Innovator. Servant. Pastor. @stevenfurtick you have lived so much of your life on a stage but I have watched you off that stage. I have seen you care so much about a sermon that you actually agonize over it. I have seen you obsess over a song lyric because every word matters to you. In the quiet moments that no one sees, I have watched you pray, make hard decisions, move past your feelings, carry burdens and keep showing up even if you were tired or doubting or struggling through something personally. Thank you for truly believing that God can do immeasurably more that we ask, think or imagine so that we could believe it too. Join me in thanking our pastor @elevationchurch!
