I have a lot of emotions & feelings writing this that I don’t wanna get into because having big feels on social media is simply tew much but today my first issue of Miles Morales: Spider-Man came out and it’s a very surreal feeling. This character has meant a lot to me for a long time - I’ve had this issue bagged & boarded for 10 years & kept it next to every desk I’ve worked at as inspiration. Having my name on the cover of a book is indescribable tbh.

I went thru a lot this year that I also don’t wanna get into but this issue is the first thing I wrote after my mom passed & I’m very proud of how it turned out. But more importantly I know she would be proud of it. And of me, for chasing down a dream & making it a reality. I’m very thankful to her for loving & supporting me eternally & letting me be my true self & im just as thankful a small part of her spirit will be immortalized in Miles mom, Rio.

Ok that’s as vulnerable as I ever want to get on an app I’m going back to playing God of War, I hope y’all enjoy the book as much as I do. Also @brianmbendis & Saladin are giants! Ok byeeee!
