I have a lot of emotions & feelings writing this that I don’t wanna get into because having big feels on social media is simply tew much but today my first issue of Miles Morales: Spider-Man came out and it’s a very surreal feeling. This character has meant a lot to me for a long time - I’ve had this issue bagged & boarded for 10 years & kept it next to every desk I’ve worked at as inspiration. Having my name on the cover of a book is indescribable tbh.

I went thru a lot this year that I also don’t wanna get into but this issue is the first thing I wrote after my mom passed & I’m very proud of how it turned out. But more importantly I know she would be proud of it. And of me, for chasing down a dream & making it a reality. I’m very thankful to her for loving & supporting me eternally & letting me be my true self & im just as thankful a small part of her spirit will be immortalized in Miles mom, Rio.

Ok that’s as vulnerable as I ever want to get on an app I’m going back to playing God of War, I hope y’all enjoy the book as much as I do. Also @brianmbendis & Saladin are giants! Ok byeeee! by @yayforzig

🎬 This Thursday, October 22, our trip back to 80s sci-fi continues with night two of our screening series “Movies Under the Microscope”!

Featuring 1985’s “Real Genius”, Science whiz kid Mitch Taylor (Gabe Jarret) arrives at Pacific Tech as a freshman and pairs up with genius senior Chris Knight (Val Kilmer) to work on a laser project. Mitch initially doesn’t care for Knight’s slacker attitude, but is eventually won over, and their friendship allows them to make new progress on the laser project only to learn that the project has a more sinister purpose.

Special guests Dr. David Saltzberg (UCLA, The Big Bang Theory, Oppenheimer), Cody Ziglar (@yayforzig; Futurama, Rick and Morty), Jason Patrick Galit (@speakerjpg; InterMyth), and Beth Werling (Senior Collections Manager), join NHM Moderator Joel Quizon to discuss what the film got both right and hilariously wrong!

🕕 Doors 6pm with pre-screening activities, music, and more
🎞️ Screening 7:30pm
🎟️ $25 General Admission | $20 for Members

I got to meet and talk with the incredibly talented @yayforzig at New York Comic Con!

I’ve read a bunch of his work over the years, so getting to meet him and hear some of his advice was incredible!

If you love Rick and Morty, Futurama, or Spider-Man, chances are you already love Cody’s work because he’s worked on all three!

Be sure to support Cody wherever you buy your comics, Friends! by @yayforzig

WE’RE BACK!

Had a lot of things going on the past week and this weekend but I’m just now able to sit and actually make a proper post to tell yall how excited I am to be back in the saddle again with the one and only @yayforzig
Didn’t think we’d get another tour with our boi Hobie but look here! Marvel called and we answered! So honored to be back telling another story of Spider-Punk but this time we got at least 10 issues outta the gate!!! So get those orders in and let’s keep this one rolling out for a while. We all need more Punk in our life.
Also, I’m BEYOND happy to finally have had the chance to draw a variant cover. Hope yall dig it!
