POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🎬 This Thursday, October 22, our trip back to 80s sci-fi continues with night two of our screening series “Movies Under the Microscope”!

Featuring 1985’s “Real Genius”, Science whiz kid Mitch Taylor (Gabe Jarret) arrives at Pacific Tech as a freshman and pairs up with genius senior Chris Knight (Val Kilmer) to work on a laser project. Mitch initially doesn’t care for Knight’s slacker attitude, but is eventually won over, and their friendship allows them to make new progress on the laser project only to learn that the project has a more sinister purpose.

Special guests Dr. David Saltzberg (UCLA, The Big Bang Theory, Oppenheimer), Cody Ziglar (@yayforzig; Futurama, Rick and Morty), Jason Patrick Galit (@speakerjpg; InterMyth), and Beth Werling (Senior Collections Manager), join NHM Moderator Joel Quizon to discuss what the film got both right and hilariously wrong!

🕕 Doors 6pm with pre-screening activities, music, and more
🎞️ Screening 7:30pm
🎟️ $25 General Admission | $20 for Members
🚙 Free parking included for ticket holders

I got to meet and talk with the incredibly talented @yayforzig at New York Comic Con!

I’ve read a bunch of his work over the years, so getting to meet him and hear some of his advice was incredible!

If you love Rick and Morty, Futurama, or Spider-Man, chances are you already love Cody’s work because he’s worked on all three!

Be sure to support Cody wherever you buy your comics, Friends!

Thanks to Stephanie Williams, Morgan Hampton, Cody Ziglar, Don Aguillo, Travis Mercer, Issac Goodhart and SO many other comic creators, NYCC 2026...will personally go down, as one of the most memorable @newyorkcomiccon trips EVER 💯 4th time, IS a charm... maybe

Special shout out to my brother from another mother Jus Blaze... Killa Cam AND gold star extraordinare, Beks 🤘🏽😝🤘🏽

GREAT PARTY btw...

Alex Mangolden & Mukhaila also held me down on opposite ends of Figure It Out Island... 🙏🏽 maybe even Janelle too, who lacks melanin, which is wild for another year honestly...

Anyway, super special shout out if you were there till AFTER midnight eating Chikdonalds & watching football like Bigg Mike [i too thought it was Tua time, MAYBE] next to aaaDAM & Buttons... loading out of an upstairs area, that you didn't even physically work in... because you know leaving your brother in the weeds, AINT it... 🫶🏾 Lissy & Sara can bring me food after a day I havent eaten at all, anytime 🤷🏽‍♂️ even if it turns my stomach upside down just. hours later 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

Endless fried chicken, maybe a lil wine, to Ashley, Ashari, Nilani and the 2 dudes Nani had to call in off the bench because... "we need a new system" WE, didnt get our BBQ photo, but this, wont be the last BBQ, not on my watch...

Anthony Fowler & Greg Elysée came thru on the last day with ALL of the life loaded into their cosplay.

I love Kriss 🖤 I miss Rose, but maybe Bryan more... not that Bryan tho 🙅🏾‍♂️whatever

🗣 Victor, we NEED to talk...

2027 is going to be SO PHUCKING DOPE 💯

OH, I'm waitin... for my ride... to pull, on UP 🙋🏽‍♂️

Signed, Hott Blaque Kevin 😘

I couldn’t help myself with this. The original made me think of Zoidberg immediately. Swipe to see it

Original was Woman in Bed with a Lobster by Anonymous crazy person circa 1910

Let me know what you think

Had such an incredible time at #nycc i’m so thankful for all of the amazing friends i’ve made through all of this, for everyone supporting allstar, for the professional creators who are so kind and give the best examples of what this community is at it’s best, and mostly for all of you. None of this would be possible without you, my life often feels like a dream come true and i’ll never stop being grateful for that. Love y’all #newyorkcomiccon2026 #comictok #comics
