recurrent intervention modalities of expanding a moment, 2021, borrows it’s title from Virginia Woolfs essay ‘on being ill’. Through the channels of creative process Buttner attempts to free life by recurrent interventions, expanding a moment into duration, throwing light on the virtual elements and possibilities that surround and condition what has been actualised in the sculptural works, live performance and film. Giving form to fundamental questions, how we relate to and make meaning in relation to other bodies, registers of mediation, the body as a cultural signifier, one presented to another in a moment of communication exchange. How we respond to mediations of pain, exploring the political and poetic haptics of the everyday.
