Revisiting 2022! In at 2- the second most viewed reel of this year was me mucking about with a calculator sound with a Memoji head on 🤷🏼‍♀️😂💁🏼‍♀️

The caption was:

UK lash artists I’m talking to you specifically! It’s just been the 1st of April the national minimum wage across the nation has just gone up to £9.18 per hour. Individual lashes is a service. If you are self employed you don’t get paid holiday. Your electricity bill has just gone up. You’re offering a highly skilled service that doesn’t just take decent products to achieve a decent outcome but also a decent amount of time too. I’ve often heard people say ‘I can’t charge that for lashes in my area’ when I tell them the prices I charge and even another beauty course I did last month when I asked for a recommended price to charge I was met with look around and see what other people in your area are charging 😬😒Nooo I need the cost per service and a benchmark- I get so upset when I hear this logic.

There are plenty of people out there willing to pay for quality. Willing to pay for nice things. Willing to enjoy lovely experiences. Lashes are not a top end sports car. Lashes are not a six star holiday but lashes are a luxury every day luxury that people can easily afford more than other things. If someone ever says to you you’re too expensive that’s fine it’s just too expensive for them - but they might want to treat themselves at holidays or birthdays. Sit down every now and again to crunch those numbers in your business you’ve got this!
