The year was 1996 and @diddy studio was about to record one of the best hip hop classics of all time. “No time” was about to be recorded.
Most people have seen this image but don’t know the real history behind it. A legendary era with two legendary figures in their own light blessed an era paved the way for many.
The original Queen of The BX. A woman who held her own and sat upon the throne proper. She is one of the founding queens of this thing of ours.
Shining light on many women from the 90s has always been essential giving the roses that are endless when and where they’re due. This woman above has a real unsung legendary status that needs to be brought to the forefront.
Shaka Don got her name from the legendary @thenotoriousbig in the early 90s. The name stuck with her and her aura was unmatched and her presence was felt amongst the gate keepers in the industry and from the infamous streets she grew up in.
A loyal Queen with a no nonsense mentality This is a woman who has been respected and connected in the best circles who has earned the stripes as “The Don” of Dons.
Many have seen her with other New York Pioneers such as Missy loo, RED Rest In Peace, T Rest In Peace, lil Kim etc in many endless pictures in the archives. Friends then and now, give all praises due for what they’ve accomplished in the industry and carrying the boroughs they reign from.
Shaka Don has been honorably mentioned as one of the flyest women to break through the rotten apple from her endless furs down to the designer shoes. She was the pioneer to it all. From the legendary fur archives these women deserved more recognition in the fashion houses for what they brought forth to the culture.

@heirher No Time was recorded in the month of June! They have on winter clothes in this picture, and it was released for Kim’s album in October. The reason I know I was there. Asked one of my favorite people @iamshakadon

Kim and Shaka were and still are that shhhh. Young World don't know what they're seeing now derives from them, alike and their era 'til this day.
