Sanjay Van is a small urban forest at the very heart of New Delhi. It is becoming a significant birding spot due to the variety of habitats it contains in itself. There are trees, bushes, dry lands, grasslands, rocky patches, wetland etc to host a variety of birds and animals.
This was my first ever sighting of the Indian Scops-Owl during scouting for the WWF Sanjay Van Bird Festival 2023 as a WWF volunteer.
