Left or right - which one is your favorite?

White bellied tree pie

What it looks like:
• Colors: Jet black head + neck, crisp white belly, chestnut-brown back, black wings with white patches, and a super long black-and-white tail • Size: About 48-50 cm long including that tail. The tail alone is more than half its length
Where it lives:
• Endemic to the Western Ghats of South India - you'll only find it here • Loves evergreen forests, plantations, and forest edges. Common in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu
Behavior:
• Loud & social: Has harsh, cackling calls. Usually seen in pairs or small aroups • Smart & curious: Omnivorous - eats insects, fruits, nectar eggs, and even small lizards • Acrobatic: Hops around branches and often hangs upside down to feed

The Plum-headed Parakeet Psittacula cyanocephala is one of the most colorful parakeets found in India.
• Looks: Males have a beautiful plum-purple head with a black neck ring. Females have a grey head. Both have bright green bodies, long blue tails, and orange beaks. • Habitat: Common in forests, gardens, and paddy fields across India and Sri Lanka. You'll often see them in focks in Kerala. • Diet: Fruits, seeds, flowers, and grains. They love paddy fields during harvest season. • Voice: Loud, sharp "twee-twee" calls. Verv social and noisy birds. • Fun Fact: They fly in fast, zig-zag formations and are excellent flyers. Males and females look different - that's called sexual dimorphism
