The shortlist for the Turner Prize has now been decided...

…(in part) by our very own Melanie Keen. As director of Wellcome Collection, she has helped shape cultural assumptions around race, disability and gender, as well as our relationship to planetary health.

And now, she has lent a helping hand in deciding the worthy recipients of one of the world’s best-known prizes for the visual arts – the Turner Prize.

The shortlisted artists are:

Jesse Darling (@jessedarling)
For his solo exhibitions ‘No Medals, No Ribbons’ at Modern Art Oxford and ‘Enclosures’ at Camden Art Centre, London.

Ghislaine Leung
For her solo exhibition ‘Fountains’ at Simian, Copenhagen.

Rory Pilgrim (@rainbowsofgorse)
For the commission ‘RAFTS’ at Serpentine and Barking Town Hall, and a live performance of the work at Cadogan Hall, London.

Barbara Walker (@barbarawalkerstudio)
For her presentation entitled Burden of Proof at Sharjah Biennial 15.

You can see these artists' works later this year from 28 September @townergallery.
