💿🎨 There was a time when your music player could look like absolutely anything.

Back in the early 2000s, Winamp let users download custom skins that changed the entire look of their music player. From futuristic control panels and alien heads to cars, video game characters, and completely ridiculous designs.

People spent hours finding the perfect skin, tweaking their desktops, and making their computers feel like their own.

Looking back, it's pretty wild how much personality software used to have. Today, most apps follow the same clean, minimal design.

So perhaps next time you ask ChatGPT or Claude to design something for you, think back to this post. Give it some direction, bring your own taste into the process, and try to create something that feels unique.

We might have lost a little something along the way.

Did you ever use Winamp? 👀

Soft smiles against soaring concrete arches 🌺

The Ruins are one of the Philippines’ architectural wonders, solidly built with high-grade concrete and railroad metal reinforcements. The over-100 year estate was built as an act of love to symbolize sugar baron Don Mariano’s eternal commitment to his late wife, Maria Braga Lacson.

During the advent of WWII, Filipino guerrilla forces made the practical yet difficult decision to burn the estate for three days to prevent advancing Japanese forces from procuring the mansion as a military command center.

Despite extensive damage from the fire, the strong concrete frame and pillars still stand as a reminder that love, dedication, and beauty still persevere, even through the most challenging circumstances 🤍

#Clique, #SupaCent is apologizing after former best friend #BeeMarie shared alleged private texts discussing #TokyoVanity’s weight and Stunna’s child.

“I participated in gossip during conversations I believed were private between best friends,” Supa wrote. “Privacy does not excuse my participation, and betrayal does not erase my accountability.”

Supa accused Bee of sharing selective messages and denied speaking negatively about Kenneri’s death. She apologized to her friends, family, children and husband for any hurt or embarrassment, saying she understands if they don’t forgive her.
