Doctoral Acceptance 👨🏾‍🏫
-
At 23 years old, I’m blessed to announce that I have been accepted into THREE different Ph.D. programs (Texas A&M, Ohio, and Mississippi State) and received over $230,000 in scholarships, fellowships, and grants. 🙌🏾

I rejoice because five years ago today in Baltimore, I argued with my mom telling her that college was not for me, graduating high school with a 2.3 GPA.

I rejoice because I will attend Texas A&M University in Fall’23 for my Doctorate Degree in Higher Education Administration **FULLY FUNDED**! 🤙🏾

I am the first Man in my family to transcend my education! On this journey, I have lost my father, grandfather, and seven brothers to gun violence, suicide, or car accidents!

BLACK MAN! If you have God by your side, you have NO EXCUSE. This world needs more Black Men in education to be change agents and to lead by example, NOT by fantasy!

Thank you to my supporters, Dr. Travis “Tee” Smith, Dr. James Tyger, Dr. Lindsay Lynch, Dr. Ryan Griffin, Dr. Will Atkins, Pamela Malyk, and Marquis Lester, who made this dream possible! 🤎
