Spanish footballer Jesus De Miguel, 30, has died after suffering serious head and chest injuries following a collision with FC Andorra goalkeeper Jesus Owono during a match on Monday. The Tenerife striker received medical attention on the pitch before being rushed to hospital, where he later died. His teammates were left in tears following the incident. De Miguel joined Tenerife in 2025 and scored 11 goals in 29 appearances. He leaves behind a daughter, Carla, born in 2025.
Amy Acton will be Ohio’s next governor, The Associated Press reported. She defeated Vivek Ramaswamy, the billionaire entrepreneur, becoming the first woman to be elected governor in the state. She is only the second Democrat to win the governor’s office in Ohio in 35 years.
