As graduation season comes to end, I’ve had time to reflect on these last four years of my life. This has easily been the hardest four years of my life filled with setbacks, hardships, and many MANY long nights. By God’s glory, the support of my family and friends, and the leadership of my mentors, I am happy to say I am an alumna of Georgetown University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. I am excited to say that I’ll be attending a Post-Bac program at the National Institutes of Health where I will be working with the Office of Biostatistics Research while I prepare for graduate school in Fall 2024. With only 5% of African-Americans being statisticians, I am ready to help set the standard for black women in mathematics and statistics under the guidance of the great black women that got me here.
