BIG GIRLS WE ARE HEADED TO THE VS SHOW 🪽

The most unserious plot twist in How I Met Your Mother somehow became one of the most iconic reveals in the entire series.

In Season 2, Episode 9, “Slap Bet,” everyone becomes obsessed with discovering the secret Robin Scherbatsky has been hiding. Marshall thinks she was secretly married. Barney becomes convinced she appeared in an adult film.

The truth is somehow even better.

Robin, played by Cobie Smulders, was once a Canadian teenage pop star named Robin Sparkles, performing “Let’s Go to the Mall” in shopping centers across Canada.

What starts as a mystery suddenly turns into one of the funniest character reveals in How I Met Your Mother history. The ridiculous music video, Robin’s embarrassment, Barney realizing how wrong he was, and the beginning of the legendary Slap Bet make the entire episode unforgettable.

“Slap Bet” aired on November 20, 2006, and was directed by Pamela Fryman. Nearly two decades later, Robin Sparkles remains one of the show’s most beloved running jokes.

They made us expect a dark secret and gave us Canadian bubblegum pop instead.

Save this iconic HIMYM moment or send it to someone who still knows every word to “Let’s Go to the Mall.”

will forever be the EASIEST way to get me out the house💋💄 #girldinner #makeup #grwm #girlhood

The dress of my dreams 🤍 My mom said the second she was strong enough in between treatments, she wanted to go to New York together for dress shopping. The second we saw this Jimmy Choo Atelier gown in @bridalreflectionsny we knew it was the one! It was actually one of the first gowns I tried and it was truly everything I had hoped for, unique, grand, and timeless ✨
