A dear friend, also named Jen, who beyond astronomical odds has a similar bone marrow cancer as my sister (yet beat hers using her own stem cells) and ironically same doctor. She had a checkup apt today so I offered to be of support. Surreal being in the place, with the doc and on the floor of the very place I said my goodbye to my sister on this very day a year ago.

What a beautiful painting to honor your sister. I’m deeply sorry you went through that with your sister, but glad you could harness strength from that to be there for your friend. It is both a tribute to your sister and a testament to your character that from tragedy, you bring light.
