I got my first #technics #sl1210 yeaars ago in high school. This trusty machine has served me well over the years, and I've always been very happy with it 🙃🗯

Over the years, I've always had this nagging feeling to get another one... ⏳️

Now, about 10 years later, I've finally saved up enough $$$ to buy me a second 1210! ⌛️🥳💸

🇺🇸 William Marshall “Bill” Beckmann died on, April 29 1990, at St. John’s Hospice in Lakewood, Colorado, following an extended illness with AIDS. He was 29 years old. Bill was born in Denver on 14 July 1960. He graduated from Platte Canyon High School in 1978, where he was active in school and community activities, particularly local melodrama theatre. An artist, Bill designed the original “Bailey Day” logo located at the Entriken Cabin in Bailey, and painted the Husky logo in the old Platte Canyon High School gymnasium. Bill attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and graduated from the University of Denver in 1982. Before his illness, he worked in Human Resources at the Life Insurance Company of Denver. Doug Lasky told @theaidsmemorial, “I met Bill when we both sang with the Denver Gay Men’s Chorus. We lived two blocks away from each other. He was incredibly kind and handsome. He was always looking for love (as we all were at that age). His specialty was cooking Chicken Veronique in his tiny apartment for a first date. One night his date didn’t show up so he called me and I got to experience the special meal (without the romantic dessert). I remember him in hospice. All that youthful joy and beauty wasting away. I spoke at his memorial service. I’m now 70 years old and I think of him often and how he touched my life.” #whatisrememberedlives

@liamlawson30 is the first ever driver to perform their music live at a race weekend. And where better to do it than in Austin at the Esses Bazaar ATX as part of the @visacashapprb Garage Sessions! While Liam has teased at his musical talents in the paddock and on his TikTok, notably jamming with country music artist Warren Zeibers and teaching Isack Hadjar to play guitar last year, this is the first time he will have an audience. “Music is a big part of my life, and I use it to clear my head during the season, so I’m really excited to perform at Garage Sessions where we can connect with fans outside of the track,” says Liam Liam will play alongside his brother and former childhood band, and he’ll be playing a custom-made guitar in collaboration with Taylor Guitars. You can see Liam and other talented lineup perform live in Austin next Thursday, October 22, during @visacashapprb garage sessions at Esses Bazaar.
