You know, I don’t even get asked “do you work here.” It’s just assumed that I do. Wherever I go, people ask me where to find something or for help with something assuming that I work there. I’ve had people try to get into my backseat and valet drivers open the back door thinking I’m an Uber Driver.
It happens so often, I’ve just started giving people wrong answers that send them to the other end of the building.

I get asked this when I’m not even wearing anything that looks like the store uniform- the last time this happened I was wearing a black track jacket and white pants 😭

Im so sorru you had to experience this bullshit, i remember when i would go shopping during college peopel would always assume i was working because they saw me actually putting things bsck when i didnt actually want it or was done. This happened a lot with the candle sections, i remember in one day at least 5 people asked me questions at the dollar store and inwasnt even wearing green or the uniforms at all. I dont get it honestly. People often make assumptions about how people look age wise i find. Its all dumb prejudices.

The uber one is so dumb because...doesnt uber give you the damn plate for the car so you know you're getting into the right car and not getting kidnapped?! (I mostly use lyft and I know they give the plate)
