Another bit of 3d Rendering since the last one was so well received. This one is my interpretation of how it feels to be a freelance worker waiting for that next gig.

There’s some really cool stuff happening in these shots, beyond the obvious and adorably depressed Storm Trooper. First of all, the movement and acting of the model itself is all mocap of yours truly. Using only my iphone I was able to shoot live plates of me doing the movement, and then convert it into motion capture data through Rokoko Studios. That motion capture data was then married to the model of the Storm Trooper and BAM!!! No key-framing or animating necessary.

Then, again with only my Iphone, I was able to capture full 360 HDRI images to mimic the lighting and reflections of the real world in the 3d model. Check out the reflections in the floor on the shot where the stormtrooper is brutally murdering my dog. Such a small addition that adds so much.
