BOOK LAUNCH RECAP 🚀

You know that feeling when something is so good, so joyful, so aligned, so powerful, so affirming that it resonates in every cell of your body so you don’t post about it for a for a week for fear of getting it even the tiniest bit wrong 🙋🏻🙈🤯😹☺️😭😝🥰!? I may never find right the words for the sacredness I experienced, but here is an attempt —

Last Friday evening, I had the absolute honor of joining @kahyangni and our editor @kate_a_farrell for our launch of #notheorsheimme at @booksofwonder 💫

This experience was like a big hug from the universe - a reminder that I sorely needed - yes there will be loss, and change, AND YES there will be more sweetness than you think your heart can bear.

Ooooh the euphoria of seeing our book on the shelves, of meeting Kah and Kate in person for the first time after working together for three years on this project.

Thank you barely begins to cover the gratitude I feel to Kah for bringing their quiet brilliance to this book and to the launch. I am your biggest fan and I truly can’t wait to witness all the beauty and hope you continue to bring into this world.

Thank you falls short when I think of Kate’s ability to see this story and how she midwifed this idea into a book. I feel gratitude beyond measure for this chance to work with someone who feels as deeply as the sea. Who cares. Who shows up. Who uplifts, celebrates, and claps the loudest at exactly the right times.

Thank you to my chosen family, coworkers, friends, to the person I met canoeing on the east river just that once, to my original critique group by whom most of the videos and pictures were taken, to my family of origin who heroically traveled from from another state, to my friends who drove from other cities, to all of you who braved the rain, to my pals who kept catching my eyes and smiling, to the entire staff @booksofwonder and to the family in the front row whom I’d never met - from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Thank you for the beauty of your questions, for the ways you listened, and allowed yourselves to feel, and for the incredible celebration we had 🥹💫
