Seventeen #DisneyWorld and #Universal •Studios employees were among 281 people arrested during a massive undercover sex trafficking and child predator operation in Central #Florida. The seven-day investigation, conducted by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and several other law enforcement agencies, resulted in the arrests of 13 Disney employees and four Universal employees.

According to Sheriff Grady Judd, 31 suspects allegedly attempted to arrange sexual encounters with minors, including seven individuals employed at local theme parks. Investigators say the suspects communicated online with undercover detectives posing as children or their guardians before traveling to arranged meeting locations. One Disney employee allegedly arrived to meet someone he believed was a 13-year-old boy, while another suspect, a former Disney employee who previously portrayed Mickey Mouse, was arrested during the operation.

Authorities reported that 239 arrests involved prostitution-related offenses, while 11 additional arrests involved other offenses. Investigators also identified 11 potential human trafficking victims during the operation. The suspects collectively face 198 felony charges and 290 misdemeanor charges.

Disney reportedly cooperated with investigators and terminated the employees involved, according to Sheriff Judd. Authorities emphasized that the investigation was intended to identify individuals seeking sexual contact with children, address prostitution-related offenses and help victims of human trafficking. The suspects have been arrested, but the allegations have not been proven in court. (📸: @gettyimages)
