Boston Mayor Michelle Wu joined a couple dozen people on a bike ride from City Hall Plaza to the Museum of Science today as she announced a new program to make BlueBikes more affordable and accessible. WBZ's Suzanne Sausville was there:

"Other than a little wind, it was a warm, sunny day, perfect for a bike ride. Mayor Wu hopped on a bike after announcing the new Boston Bikes pass, which allows residents to get an annual membership for less than half the full price. Other residents who qualify can get an annual membership for just $5!

She says when the financial barriers come down, the interest and energy are there to ride bikes. Wu says, when the Orange Line shut down last year, and BlueBikes were free, more people rode them, hitting a record several times." @mayorwu @ridebluebikes

We want better trains and more busses. Here are some poor quality bike lanes that 20 people use

All these bike lanes are stupid… especially in February! Make more room for cars.
