Soon after her 40th birthday, professional make-up artist Cher Webb noticed the shift. Having once had volume in spades, years of fertility treatment and difficult life events had taken its toll. “When I look back at videos and photographs of me from the past, it’s shocking how drastically my hair has thinned.

Webb has switched up her styling products for ones that give root lift and a modern, mussed-up texture. “I’ve been using Sam McKnight’s Cool Girl Barely There Texture Mist for years. It’s my go-to for adding texture and a lived-in feel,” she disclosed on the day of our photo shoot.

McKnight is one of the world’s leading hairstylists and is known for creating soft volume for the red carpet (Nicole Kidman is a current client), catwalk shows, designer campaigns and cover shoots, making him the obvious choice for Webb’s hair transformation. With four hairstyles to pull from, McKnight showed Webb the signature formula he used to thicken fine hair.

Somehow this felt more embarrassing than anything in my actual archive. No one thought to correct me???

I’d love to hear your story, have you had any experiences with force reconciliation? Share in the comments!⬇️

Forced reconciliation only brings about the appearance of unity, while the pain caused by harm, still exists, and grows. We have to be OK with detention that naturally arises when somebody hurts. Another person we have to be comfortable with enforcing consequences, giving people space, and letting forgiveness be authentic and reconciliation be a choice.

I just launched registration for my Healing from Spiritual Wounds virtual group for my email list and now it’s officially available to you! In this group we’ll develop language and understanding of the wounds that we’ve experienced in religious spaces so that we can understand what the path towards healing is.

Reconstructing healthy faith requires us to acknowledge the ways we’ve been wounded

We start November 2 and meet every Monday for 6 weeks from 7 PM Eastern to 8:30 PM Eastern. This group is open to anyone anywhere!

Type wound and I’ll send you the link to register! I’d be honored to serve you and your healing journey.
