🌿 Job shadowing at Centro Co.Re in Portugal 🇵🇹
I recently had an incredible opportunity to participate in job shadowing with @kobie__ty at the beautiful @centro_co.re in São Luís, Portugal. This inspiring experience allowed me to dive deep into sustainable education and community-driven projects while working on the communication strategy and website development for the newly formed CONNECTYON COLLECTIVE.
At Centro Co.Re, I witnessed firsthand how rural agroecology and community collaboration can create lasting change. From planning educational activities for the local community to promoting environmental initiatives, every task was rooted in sustainability and positive impact. 🌍✨
The heart of this journey was @espaco_nativa a community space born during the pandemic, which has since become a hub for local collaboration and eco-conscious projects.
I was part of the team that built a communication strategy for CONNECTYON, focusing on connecting people with each other, nature, and themselves.
📌 What is job shadowing?
It’s a unique opportunity to learn by observing experienced professionals at work. In my case, I had the chance to collaborate with the communication team, gaining insights into sustainable development, international collaboration, and impactful marketing strategies.
💡 What I learned:
- Creating and implementing a communication strategy
- Building a website that promotes collaboration and eco-education
- How sustainability can be at the core of community initiatives
- The importance of connecting local actions to global change
This experience has not only enhanced my professional skills but also deepened my understanding of how communication can foster sustainable communities. The lessons I learned here will continue to shape my work, both locally and globally. 🌱
