I am extremely Proud of the Growth happening at Silverton! In just one year together, we’ve taken risks to improve our instructional rigor, focused on our Tier 1 core instruction, and made individual plans of success of all students! This, amongst other initiatives, speaks to the increase to 3.5 Stars on the Ohio State Report Card!

Academic Achievement: More students are meeting and exceeding grade-level expectations in core subjects such as math, reading and science, improving our performance index from 59% to 68%.

Progress: 4 stars - Our students are demonstrating growth in their learning, with many making significant gains since the previous year.

Gap Closing: We’ve made strides increasing to 4-stars, in closing achievement gaps between different student groups, ensuring equity and opportunities for all learners.

Chronic Absenteeism: We have decreased in this area, which is directly related to increased student achievement.

While there’s always room for growth in other areas, we pause to celebrate the work of our students, teachers, staff and partners for this moment in time! Eagle excellence is what we strive to attain, and the data supports this exact philosophy! I am proud to lead and serve this academic community we call Silverton 🫡 !
