Some neurodivergent people find taking unexpected calls extremely challenging. (Some simply can’t - or won’t - do it.)

So, here is a simple change you can make to your hiring process 👇

Instead of calling a candidate to arrange an interview, or to give feedback, email them instead.

Or, if a call is necessary, let them know via email first.

But if you want to do it best, ask them what they prefer in the application process and communicate with them in that way!

It’s a small adjustment, but it can make ALL the difference 😊

I’ve recently lost a surgery date due to this. It was made harder as they wouldn’t book it with a letter and insisted on calls. When I called back I couldn’t get through. And they always called during work. In the end I got through and they’ve taken me off the list. I have to start all over again. 😢
