Let me be very clear: this is in no way, shape, or form a personal attack on anyone who enjoys these tropes or narrative devices. It’s just that I PERSONALLY am tired of seeing them repeat in every other fantasy book.

I remember back in the day when people were RAGING about the ending of Divergent, while I was in the group that actually quite enjoyed it. It was unique! It was unexpected, and I like to be caught off guard.

I feel like this is also why some books end up blending together for me after a year or two, and I really wish that wasn’t the case.

Anyway, do you share the feeling? What’s something you’re tired of seeing in fantasy books?

Jeans Boys, & Jesus (Deluxe) is officially YOURS!!!!! ✨ I’ve been waiting so long for yall to hear these songs, and I knew the JBJ era wouldn’t feel complete without them. So much love, time, and pieces of my heart went into making this deluxe, and I genuinely can’t believe the FULL album is finally out in the world. Thank you for streaming my debut album, showing up for me, and making all of this possible. I feel so lucky that I get to do what I love for a living, and I seriously couldn’t do it without you.
