7 months, 6 countries, 1 bike.
Thousands of kilometers have been cycled, including countless ascents and descents - physical and mental ones ๐
The post shows 1 picture from every country of the route, from Patagonia to Colombia ๐
Thank you for sharing this adventure for most of the time
@where.is.luise - I wouldnโt have started a bikepacking trip without you.
And thanks so much
@isobaamerino for your support with our clothing. Your merino wear has kept us warm throughout the whole trip, and is still in fantastic condition!
A big thanks to
@rovativ.de for your support with my bike bags. Iโm a huge fan of the products - they kept everything 100% waterproof, and we reeeally went through lots of rough weather.

Now, back home, Iโm still not fully able to comprehend what journey Iโve just been onโฆ and while Iโm trying find my way back into this fast-paced, overstimulated life here, my mind still wanders somewhere in the remote Andes of South America.
The soul travels slower than the body, they say. I know what they mean.
Nevertheless itโs good to be back! To see friends and family, have a reliant warm shower when you want one, drink tab water, eat good food. The magic of this โevery day luxuryโ vanishes way too quickly though! During the first days when I was back, I was so excited by the overwhelming choices in a supermarket, or just by toilet paper being available in public bathrooms. My standards were so low! I wish it would stay that way, because I was so appreciative of all these little things. But our minds donโt work this way - we get used to comfort so quickly and the sooner you know, the standards are back to where they were before the trip.
One big difference I realize though, is that Iโm very calm in the inside. Itโs like somewhere along this trip Iโve built a โstress-filterโ within me, that decelerates the rush from outside. I realized that thereโs barely ever a reason to stress or freak outโฆ I guess humans just really like to be concerned, but mostly, thereโs just no reason.
