2 years agoI am writing because I am an Alaskan who now lives in Canada. I taught at UAF for 18 years and retired to Canada. I was born in Marquette, Michigan and am a natural born citizen of the United States. However, when I try to withdraw from my retirement account with Lincoln Financial Services, I am told that I am an alien and they purposely take longer to process my payments and lose documentation. I have even sent them a copy of my passport to prove that I am a US Citizen, and I am still treated as a foreigner. I have complained to the Indiana Securities and Exchange commission several times, and have gotten no results. I have just asked for help from my Alaska Senators and Representative to stop this behaviour. The anti immigrant sentiment in the US seem so bad that it extends to expatriates. This is simply not acceptable. I am an American Citizen, and I demand to be treated as such. - James Bicigo
2 years agoI won’t be encouraging act blue to harass me further. Sorry…best of luck. I hope you win!
