My Ummi says: My ummi/grandmother is 94 years old, and grew up on the Brazos River in Texas, In a little town that’s still 200 people. We’re not immigrants to this country (or the Americas), as she reminds me. History, memories and life are alive and well in this world we all live in. Every morning my ummi reminds me to stand up and be strong. Our people deserve no less…#blackpeople #africanamericans #africandiaspora #california #texas #louisiana #ummi #grandmother #brazosriver #memories

That is so Beautiful that you are tapping into the Living History of our people!!🙌🏽❤️🙌🏽. You are truly blessed to Be in the absolute Favor of your grandmother. I know how powerful this true backstory your grandmother and my She/roe is sharing will be a treasure to our future if you continue to share.🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️. Please do something beyond this post so that this will elevate others into a better knowing of how important our God given strength help us to keep our power to survive in a sick world of now. Write a book, or better still since most people don’t read, make a documentary !!🙌🏽❤️‍🩹 . I love everything thing about this post !!
