Watching families grow from in front of and behind the lens year after year is one of those blessings that are absolutely unmatched. That incredible woman you see has been my Bess, bestie, sister from another mister, ride or die, therp, confidant, codependent teen bff, concert traveling, roommate, teacher, guide, shoulder, pedestal, queen, MOH, voice, reason, waker-upper, educator, activism never giver upper, hugger, LOVE, partner in this life that’s been one helluva ride since we were tweens. To know someone through almost every decade of life, every love, every heartache, dream, downfall, all of it - literally see their life unfold before your eyes. I don’t know how I got so lucky to land in the town I did, at that school, in that art class, on that day, but y’all, when someone says “I don’t know what I’d do without you?” - this is what they mean. So to say I’ve gotten to witness her incredible family grow together from behind the lens - I mean the culmination of all of those things through now and WHAT A GIFT THAT IS. Pure magic. Pure Gratitude.
