Jennie - tell us about these photos…
“I got my nails done in rainbow colors for Pride Month a couple of years ago in the desert. On my drive back to LA, my car got stuck in a sandstorm, and I had to dig myself out. Those nails were gone within 24 hours of getting them!”

What does having manicured nails mean to you?
“Self Expression. The color is always a reflection of my mood at that moment or at least a mood I am trying to achieve.”

Tell us about your FIRST polish experience…
“My mom went to beauty school in the 80’s. She used to take me to night class with her when I was 4-5 years old. My obsession with having regularly manicured nails dates back over 30 years!”

What’s your nail ritual?
“I go every 2 weeks like clockwork. It’s definitely an indulgence, but one I think I deserve. Like PSLs and guacamole on my Chipotle.”

Thanks for sharing Jennie! We love the story of you digging yourself out of a sandstorm. It’s a depiction of how we can show up all polished and perfect, ready to celebrate something–and then sometimes things don’t go according to plan. Good for you for getting your hands dirty (literally) and digging (literally) yourself out of a tough spot. That’s true girl power! 💪
