Trembles was originally named Tilly when I adopted her at 6 years old, so I have no problem changing a 9 year old dog’s name. I definitely feel like Crumpet needed a bit of an iconic name after Trembles!🥹

This video really captures what a bag of emotion and nerves I was about meeting another dog after Trembles’ recent passing😭 I fully thought the logistics and weight of the decision through, but emotionally I was still very tender❤️‍🩹

But I’m so glad I did, because Crumpie’s been such a healing, perfect girl.

She literally does everything I could ever want in a dog - doesn’t bark, no separation anxiety, walks perfectly on the lead, ridiculously toilet trained, comes when called, sleeps through the night on my bed, eats easily, fine in the car, great with cats, dogs and children, and sooo loving. She’s not a dog, she’s a unicorn!🦄✨

I feel so grateful and am always in awe at how rescue animals seem to just come into your life at the right time. Especially the older ones, which are so often overlooked. At 9, Crump is settled and smart, she’s just here for all the love❤️
