@walmart don’t y’all have generators in the damn store?

It’s been 3 years without him now. I’ve found myself mentioning him in conversations a lot more than usual lately, because random things would remind me of him. And it’s mostly along the lines of, “Oh, Papa would’ve really loved this.” It’s a weird feeling, happy but a little unsettling at the same time. But mostly happy.

I think the biggest change I’ve observed in myself ever since he left is that all I wanted was to be happy - do things that would bring me joy, spend time with people who would make me happy, and that’s all. Everything else became secondary. I think that very well explains why I can be so erratic with things. I’m not sure if this is the right way to go about life when I’m going to be 28 soon haha

I hate that there’s so much I couldn’t learn from him, but he definitely taught me the importance of doing things that genuinely mattered to you. And his life was an example of this. That’s why I’d always disagree with people who tell me his passing was untimely. He lived more in his 63 years than people would in 100. And I think that’s hella inspiring :)
