Making Starbucks the best job in retail is core to our Back to Starbucks Plan. Starting in March 2025, new parent partners (employees) working at least 20 hours a week can get up to 18 weeks of paid leave. No other retailer offers a better parental leave benefit, and we’re making it even better. Our success begins and ends with our green apron partners, which is why we provide our partners unmatched opportunities to build the life and career they want through programs like Bean Stock and the Starbucks College Achievement Plan. #ToBeAPartner #MoreThanCoffee #Starbucks

I mean this is awesome for families or anyone starting one & trying to get pregnant. I have always been the person to even point out how amazing how awesome lots of European countries are with maternity/paternity time and if I had the money I’d get another citizenship to move. Sorry, not sorry. But what about people who absolutely do not want kids? I love being an Aunt to mine but child free life is the way for me. But I can’t afford to live and pursue things because of the horrible pay. I already did an undergrad and was told I can’t take advantage of the ASU program and try for another degree back when it first came out. And I can’t afford it on my own because I can’t afford the cost of living on my own as a single person in NJ. I am again thrilled to see this progress. I just hope this is the thing that gets the ball really rolling for other big changes.
