Week one.
- Story behind the pic. I walked into @dearfriendbooks and quickly made convo. Picked up a few items… (we all know I love a black leather jacket. So why not find the coffee table book of my dreams.) As I was leaving, I think his name was Chris, who worked there wanted to take my picture for store year book. He commented on my style and my coat, and how it all had the same vibe. He told me to come back and sign it… and I’m just gonna have to do that. Thanks Chris, for making my week. Feeling a tad displaced, but small convo goes along way. Say hi to someone you don’t know, it feels good.

![Hands off our trans communities!
This past Sunday, 18.10.2026, many police officers (LKA) forcefully entered “The Dolls”, a weekly transfem-only meet-up in Casa Kuà. They identified everybody present, and held them inside for up to 4 hours.
The police searched everyone’s belongings, despite the fact that there were no names mentioned in the search warrant itself; as well as all the rooms in the space. They broke into lockers, and confiscated several boxes of items.
We are enraged and were shocked to learn that this attack on our trans communities is related to an investigation into alleged “verschreibungungsplichtige Medikamente […], ohne die entsprechende Erlaubnis an Dritte unentgeltlich abzugeben”
(“providing prescription-only medications […] to third parties free of charge without the required authorization.”)
This violent intrusion into our space not only targets the most marginalized and vulnerable transfeminine communities, it is also part of a broader wave of repression against women, queers, migrants and the working class, amongst other marginalized people.
We are very grateful for the massive community response on such a short notice and we are going to need more support in the coming times. Stay updated and take care of each other.
