Part two of 2024!
After my
@rcaceramicsandglass MA thesis show I jetted off to NYC where I immediately went for some silly dancing with my wonderful pal Liz before setting off for the incredible Corning Museum of Glass. The new studios
@corningmuseumstudio are so lush! 😍 I won a scholarship through RCA and got to take a class with MinHi England and John Sharvin for 2 weeks it was FABULOUS! I got to explore the museums and Rakow library then went up to Niagara Falls and into Canada to visit my lovely talented cousin Becky (check out her knits
@toast.yarn ). Then I headed down to Southern Illinois University
@siuglass for my artist residency! 🔥
We made hundreds of pumpkins and I got to do my first ever glassblowing DEMO which was terrifying and exciting in equal measure. I got to make lots of wonderful things, like 1000 tiny glass leaves, for my solo exhibition Faoiseamh ✨ Meanwhile I got to show my work in other exhibitions- the British Glass Biennale, Murmurations in London and ‘It’s in the Word’ with Contemporary Glass Society.
Before I jetted home I had a quick stop in San Francisco and got to visit my friend Kris
@je.yeun and talk to her students about the magic of glass 🔥
Then it was back to Ireland in time for Christmas with family, friends and so much cheese 🧀
Quite possibly the best year yet!
