Closing our doors is not by choice and is a heartbreaking decision, but we cannot actively sustain. We don’t have committed fosters for big dogs. Donations as of late are barely covering costs. We have really struggled over the last year to stay above water. But the truth is we are drowning and it’s been hard to pretend everything’s ok on social media, which is why you haven’t seen much of us here. But we need you to know.
And while we are gutted by this decision, we can’t just crawl under a rock. We won’t. And we still need you. We have been responsible to not bring more dogs under our care while we are struggling to pay the bills, but we do still have two dogs in our care, getting the best, & we do still have essential costs to bear for them, including unpaid bills for the first time ever.
Lucky showed more signs of illness in November. We ran tests since at first had us worried about prostate cancer, but thankfully those all came back negative, & turned out to be a nasty UTI.
🚨We NEED a FOSTER HOME FOR LUCKY. We are so grateful that he is safe, cared for, and getting great attention in boarding with the best trainer, but we don’t take in the kind of money it takes to sustain that. We are overwhelmed with paying Lucky’s in home boarding fees for most of this year. And we are behind on payments.
🚨We need help. We need to raise $657 for Lucky just to catch up on boarding fees! We need help to pay this bill, but what we really need is a foster or adoptive home. Lucky deserves that family kind of life. We have begged & tried everything, even offering a paid foster, but no door has opened for him.
Lastly, we are incredibly grateful to every one of you who have supported our dogs on this journey for the last ten years. Every foster pawrent, every transporter, every donor, every trainer, every veterinarian and vet tech, every dog walker, every photographer, every shelter volunteer, & every “follower” on social media… we truly could not have done any of this without your support.
