The monsoon has passed, but winter still hasn’t arrived. This year, the real heat isn’t during the day. It’s in the hot, humid nights from October to December, and it could also threaten India’s wheat crops. Our Heat Action Plans don’t even account for this period. Next time someone says, “Diwali is coming, winter will be here soon,” send them this reel. #ElNino #Monsoon2026 #IndiaWeather #HeatWave #indiainlast24hr

Albania’s student protests rage on in Tirana as Prime Minister Edi Rama refuses to resign. Day 3 of the Albania student protests. Thousands filled the streets of Tirana again, battling riot police who fired tear gas, water cannon and sound grenades. Reports online suggest protesters are breaking through police lines and trying to enter the parliament building in Tirana. Parliament cancelled its session as clashes erupted nearby. Why are students protesting in Albania? They accuse the government of corruption and neglecting education. Anger also centres on the sale of parts of Albania’s southern coastline to a luxury resort project backed by Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law. PM Edi Rama denies corruption and rejects resignation. He offers talks on education costs and casts the unrest as a threat to Albania’s EU membership bid. Albania aims to join the EU as early as 2028. Unrest is now spreading beyond Tirana. Protests are reported in Shkodra, where a police commander was badly injured, plus Durres, Elbasan, Kukes and Vlora. In Skanderbeg Square, police beat fleeing protesters with batons as tourists watched. The protests in Albania come amid a wave of student-led uprisings across Europe, and Tirana has quickly become one of the fiercest fronts. Is Europe facing a youth uprising?
