3 years ago (New Years 2021) I had no idea my world would look so different today.

Doug’s & my sanctification has greatly come in the form of marriage.

In this picture we had JUST begun building toward a better marriage after 2 years of a really tough season.

It didn’t always make sense.

I didn’t always believe we would make it through tbr.

But one thing we ALWAYS counted on, was God.

We returned to Him, time and time again.

Broken.

Often hurting.

Angry.

The one thing we had in common was we never stopped coming back. To Him.

Looking back now it feels like we’d never see the other side.

And life can often feel that way when we’re in the depth of heartache. Or difficulty. Or waiting.

‘It will never end’

But it will.

It always does.

And whether that ends with victory or defeat depends largely on what you cling on to when it feels like you’re drowning - on WHO you cling on to.

And friends, there’s only One who can bear the weight of your season, and that’s Jesus.

So this year, in the moments when we feel like we’re drowning, I hope we all cling on to the right life line to see us through to the other side 🤍🌻

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not consume you.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭2‬
