This is a very special performance photo for me! It was my first time performing in Vegas and in the front row you can see two icons and my iconic burlesque wife dabbing a tear away from her eyes, which is so very on brand for her! This was a moment that I worked hard for and I'm proud of myself!

But I've been sitting on this photo because there has been a shift, maybe within myself? I'm not sure. I feel uncertainty in my burlesque future. I live in a state that could very well do away with drag and burlesque performers and finding traveling gigs is hard! Social media is shadow banning us so it's hard to even get any kind of reach. I'm not saying this for a pity party, I'm saying it to bring myself back into the community. We have to stick together and create space and opportunities for each other. We have to keep each other's spirits up. We have to keep making art.

Anyway, I'll be announcing some shows soon because I'm not hanging up my pasties yet! See you soon 🖤

What a great photo! I agree that the future of burlesque in SD seems uncertain but it will never truly go away. Now more than ever creating art & expression & continued presence is so important! Building community is too! I am on a short hiatus but I’ve been thinking about performing and burlesque for me in this coming year. Keep sparkling!
