An 18-year-old detention deputy in San Antonio, Texas, has been fired after photos showing her posing with jail inmates went viral on social media. Karla Beltran had been employed by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office for just over 100 days after starting on July 1. The photos show Beltran in uniform making various hand gestures and posing for pictures while inmates behind a glass window joined in. According to reports, Beltran was terminated during her probationary period. Officials are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the photos, including who took them and how they ended up online. No criminal charges have been reported. Do y’all think she deserved to lose her job over the photos?
