An 18-year-old detention deputy in San Antonio, Texas, has been fired after photos showing her posing with jail inmates went viral on social media.
Karla Beltran had been employed by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office for just over 100 days after starting on July 1. The photos show Beltran in uniform making various hand gestures and posing for pictures while inmates behind a glass window joined in.
According to reports, Beltran was terminated during her probationary period. Officials are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the photos, including who took them and how they ended up online. No criminal charges have been reported.

Teenagers should not be cops. You shouldn’t be allowed to be a cop if you’re under 30. Not everybody is immature but it’s better to act like they are than not. I didn’t start really growing up until about 27 after my dad died but once i hit 30, I’ve just been changing and changing for the better.
