Did Kodak do Drake’s “Little Birdie” justice or nah? 🤔↩️

Song: Lil Birdie - Kodak Black

Kodak Black just dropped his own “Lil Birdie,” taking Drake’s ICEMAN song and jumping over the same beat with his own flow and melodies. When Drake’s version first dropped, a lot of the conversation was about how much his cadence and delivery sounded like Kodak in the first place.

“Little Birdie” was already one of the bigger songs from ICEMAN, debuting at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #24 on the Global 200. The Florida connection wasn’t accidental, with ICEMAN producer London Cyr later referred to it as “a Florida song,” while South Florida producer DJ Frisco954 was part of the production team.

And Kodak isn’t the first Florida rapper who heard that beat and decided to jump on it, with Loe Shimmy dropping his own “Little Birdie” freestyle back in June, a little over a month after Drake released ICEMAN.

Now Kodak has finally put his own version out, after months of people hearing his influence all over the original by @flupnow

@sluggatee_ x @1900rugrat x @blpkosher really got the Florida YC Avengers assembled on “Red Hot Chili Crackas” 😭🔥 three completely different styles on one song and somehow it all came together. Y’all need more from these 3? 👀

1900Rugrat, BLP Kosher, and Slugga Tee represent a highly distinct, subcultural phenomenon within the modern Florida hip-hop scene, subverting traditional rap archetypes by proudly embracing their unorthodox backgrounds. Hailing from West Palm Beach’s Limestone Creek neighborhood, 1900Rugrat rose to viral fame with his RIAA gold-certified “One Take Freestyle,” gaining notoriety for a heavy Southern drawl and an abrasive style that openly plays into “cracker” tropes. He frequently collaborates with Broward County native BLP Kosher, a Jewish skateboarder-turned-rapper known for his iconic wicks hairstyle, complex wordplay, and references to his faith. Rounding out this alternative Sunshine State nexus is Slugga Tee, a central figure in Jacksonville’s gritty Y&R drill collective. Slugga Tee spent six years in state prison before making a massive comeback with his viral “First Day Out” track, “First K Out,” which rapidly clocked over a million views. by @flupnow

We might need @elsnappo1900 on the deluxe version of 2K after seeing what he pulled off in the video to “FLIP PHONE” 😂🔥

El Snappo is a rising rapper originally from Lauderhill, Florida, who is quickly carving out his own distinct lane in the music industry with a sound he defines as “zoodie” music—a style he describes as raw, high-quality, and deeply authentic. Heavily influenced by the real-life events, crime, and struggles of his upbringing, his early life was shaped by navigating difficult situations independently as a self-described “popular loner”. Encouraged by his father from a very young age to pursue music, El Snappo began taking his craft seriously following his father’s passing, ultimately relocating to Texas, where he achieved a major creative and career breakthrough.

Known for his natural, feeling-driven approach in the studio, El Snappo rarely writes down his lyrics. Instead, he prefers to vibe to a beat and freestyle his tracks sequentially once a cadence emerges. This organic method has yielded major success, including his hit single “Chicken,” which garnered over 20 million streams on Spotify and took the Florida music scene by storm. Having learned sharp lessons from past run-ins with federal authorities regarding the promotion of violence in music videos, El Snappo has refocused his perspective on long-term goals. He actively aims to earn a Grammy nomination, land a spot as an XXL Freshman, and perform at major events like Rolling Loud, while using his journey to inspire his listeners to chase their own dreams. by @flupnow

BREAKING: @biggkutt8 is the first Orlando rapper to go pescatarian on them!! 😳🐟❌

“Police Coming” is a high-energy hip-hop track by rising artist BiggKutt8 in collaboration with 954fastpitch. Initially released in late 2025 as a standout single, it was also featured on his project Bowl Gospel: Fast Version. The track quickly captured listeners’ attention within the underground rap scene, accumulating over a million streams on platforms like Spotify and gaining further traction through its official music video.

Lyrically, the song dives deep into a gritty narrative of fast-paced street life, financial evolution, and survival. The central theme revolves around evading law enforcement—as captured in the frantic chorus describing late-night “roadrunning” and taking sudden turns to dodge patrol cars. BiggKutt8 blends these tactical maneuvers with vivid bars about armed rivalries, changing relationships, and contrasting his past struggles with his current newfound wealth and status. by @flupnow

YNW Melly and Lil Durk’s ongoing legal cases are now creating scheduling conflicts for attorney Drew Findling, who represents both rappers.

According to court filings, Melly’s double-m*rder retrial is scheduled to begin January 6, 2027, in Broward County, Florida. Meanwhile, Durk’s remaining federal racketeering trial has been pushed back to August 30, 2027.

Melly’s retrial was officially listed among the scheduling conflicts submitted by Durk’s defense team, which also cited the complexity of the case and the amount of evidence requiring review.

Findling recently helped secure Durk’s acquittal in his separate federal m*rder-for-hire trial in September and is now representing Melly as he prepares for his retrial.

What y’all think about both rappers sharing the same attorney? 👀⚖️ by @flupnow

A NEW CHAPTER FOR HOTBOII 🔓✂️ @itshotboii438 showing off his new look after 6 months behind bars! The Orlando rapper cut off his iconic wicks and is calling this chapter “MATURITY.” Y’all ready for new music? 👀🔥

Hotboii, whose real name is Javarri Latre Walker, is an American rapper from Orlando, Florida. Born on June 13, 2000, he gained national attention in 2020 with his breakout song “Don’t Need Time,” which became popular for its emotional lyrics about street life, losing friends, and overcoming struggles.
