Perfect Relationships - A working series. Rooted in the Midwest, Perfect Relationships is a staged reality of a young couple. The constructed images are captured and edited in a love-forward color palette. The moody lightning helps render the emotions of the images. As a whole, the series is a juxtaposition of an old western film and the contemporary lifestyle of a loving couple hoping to build the Perfect Relationship. Often the composition finds itself with harsh cropping techniques that help blur the reality of the scene. These scenes are conceptualized by a combination of dreamlike anxieties and realistic memories of the past.
