POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This working series explores how love is shaped by memory, inheritance, and expectations of roles. Influenced by my parents, I now navigate marriage with both gratitude and anxiety, learning what it means to build a home.
This series captures intimate moments that blur past and present, reflecting on labor, devotion, and the patterns we carry. It rests in a simple realization: the life we are building, all in its stillness and struggle, is already the dream we will forever share together. by @chayton_davidson

Perfect Relationships - A working series. Rooted in the Midwest, Perfect Relationships is a staged reality of a young couple. The constructed images are captured and edited in a love-forward color palette. The moody lightning helps render the emotions of the images. As a whole, the series is a juxtaposition of an old western film and the contemporary lifestyle of a loving couple hoping to build the Perfect Relationship. Often the composition finds itself with harsh cropping techniques that help blur the reality of the scene. These scenes are conceptualized by a combination of dreamlike anxieties and realistic memories of the past. taken in The Midwest by @chayton_davidson

“In Sickness and in Health” - A complete series in hopes to navigate the reality of growing old together in a residential space that is not fully accommodating for one with a disability. What happens when life hits hard and takes away the things we value most? What happens when we lose our ability to walk, our ability to remember, or our ability to physically support each other. Someone who once was the provider, now in return is provided for. taken in Indianapolis, Indiana by @chayton_davidson

I’m greatly honored to have my work featured in a Special Edition publication by @docu.magazine 📸

Collaborating with @tuomas_koskialho was an incredible opportunity, and I’m deeply grateful for the experience. Receiving the magazine in the mail was a powerful reminder to keep creating, storytelling, and pursuing my dreams.

A reminder that anything is possible.

A studio visit is an invitation into my life…my thoughts, my dreams, my anxieties, my becoming.
Dreams don’t arrive fully formed.
This is what living my dream actually looks like. Constant reading, research, writing, explorations, image-making, editing, printing, journaling, applications, teaching, and critiquing all with the goal of becoming another example of how an artist can make it in this world. Keep working towards your dream. I believe one day it will become true.
