🎉Celebrating 40 years in
#healthcare, if you count animal health and a brief stop in respiratory therapy.
If you’re new to my page, thank you for stopping by-here are a few tidbits about how I got here.
📣 Started in a respiratory therapy program in ‘85 realizing I don’t like sputum- shout out to RTs. Note: This came back to haunt me as a CCRN in the trauma ICU for extra hours. 🫁. suctioning trachs= chills up my spine.

Was a vet tech at a large/small animal clinic back home in Canton Ohio. Sick animals make me really sad, so Dr. Doolittle I was not.
•
Found my passion in a nursing home, so off to
#nursing school I went.
•
Transferred to UNC Chapel Hill. Getting accepted as an out of state student was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, academically. Graduating from a top five nursing program was even harder.
•
My airway journey began in 91 as an aspiring CRNA, working as a nurse extern in the UNC PACU. Graduated in ‘92 and off to Charleston, SC I went. If you know me, I don’t sit still for very long, so passing gas in a mask was not for me.
•
Commissioned in 93 as an officer and Flight Nurse in the Air Force Reserves-also lived in Alabama and Texas-great food y’all! . My favorite places in the world are the Azores black sand beaches and Germany (K-town) during Christmas.
•
Accidentally found my way into home infusion therapy in 93 until 2008, and mental health in 95.
•
Started NP School at the Univ. of North Dakota in ‘95-long story how I got there. I later changed over to clinical nurse specialist, finishing in 2009.
•
Left NP school to get my first masters in health admin in 97 to enter the pharma and medical device industry-been in ENT and Sleep some way since ‘02. Specializing in nasal function for 8 years.
•
Became Dr. Davidson and a professor /SME at Liberty University in ‘20 teaching PhD and masters students health policy and grant writing, and undergrad-medical billing coding, & reimbursement. Adjunct at CMU since ‘18
•
I’ve always worked multiple jobs.
•
I have one son who’s the love of my life, a Rottweiler named Tank and a Golden named Tessa.
