I don’t usually post topless but this is an exception as I am proud of this result and wish I had done this earlier.
After 2023 strength wars I finally realised that just training hard in the gym wasn’t gonna produce the desired results in competition. I needed to improve my body composition to allow me to put on more muscle without blowing my weight out.
Every time I would finish a strength block I would be well over 100kg once peaking at 108kg and then would need to cut too much weight. Then everything would suffer:
- my energy levels
- quality of sessions
- 6 weeks out my pressing will start to drop significantly. Which is where I would lose the most points.
@ironforged_strength_jack had been pushing me in this direction for sometime but it took a disappointing performance for me to finally commit. So despite missing ASMS I do look forward to the 2025 strongman season.
